Carlyle Group Inc.’s co-head of American private equity, Steve Wise, said activity is starting to pick up in private markets. According to Bloomberg, Wise said credit markets are in good shape and the backdrop for M&A is favorable, and he discussed the strength of the US economy and why Carlyle is investing in defense and industrial industries in an interview on “The Pulse with Francine Lacqua” on June 9.
