China’s automobile output and sales totaled 2.616 million and 2.629 million units in May, down 1.2% and 2.1% year on year, according to Ming Pao, citing analysis by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers.
On a month-on-month basis, May output rose 1.6% and sales increased 4.1%.
For the first five months, auto output and sales reached 12.235 million and 12.207 million units, down 4.6% and 4.2% year on year, with the declines narrowing compared with the first four months.
