China’s tax authorities said compliance among taxpayers with overseas income has increased, with additional taxes paid totaling about 13 billion yuan from January to May.
According to Odaily, publicly released information from the State Taxation Administration said tax agencies have strengthened public outreach, guidance, and policy counseling related to residents’ overseas income.
The administration said taxpayers who earn overseas income have shown a marked improvement in compliance during the period.
