A court in Beijing’s Haidian District sentenced a retiree surnamed Meng to four years in prison in a fraud case involving more than 200,000 yuan.
According to NS3.AI, Meng posed online as a young woman and obtained the funds through deception.
The report said Meng used the money for leveraged virtual currency trading, which ultimately resulted in a total loss.
