Israel’s military said on June 9 local time that its ground forces crossed the Litani River and continued military operations in southern Lebanon.
According to Odaily, Israeli Chief of the General Staff Eyal Zamir said the military would expand the scale of strikes against Hezbollah forces in Lebanon.
Lebanon’s National News Agency reported the same day that Israeli airstrikes on towns in southern Lebanon caused dozens of casualties.
Hezbollah issued multiple statements saying its fighters struck several Israeli military targets.
