Venture capitalist and billionaire Tim Draper said quantum computing is more likely to compromise traditional banking systems before it can break blockchain networks.
According to ChainCatcher, Draper wrote on X that he believes Bitcoin is safer than holding U.S. dollars in a bank account. He argued that even if a blockchain were to face a serious issue, full-node operators could roll back to the last secure block and keep the network running, while the dollar and banking system would not have an equivalent recovery option.
Draper also predicted that as retailers begin accepting Bitcoin, it will eventually fully replace the U.S. dollar.
