Kalshi plans to require some prediction market participants to disclose their employers when placing bets in markets involving material nonpublic information, with the change expected to roll out in the coming weeks.
According to Odaily, users betting in such markets will need to submit an online form identifying their workplace.
The requirement is expected to apply to sensitive markets, including those tied to corporate performance and national security.
An audit committee report said Kalshi submitted more than 20 referrals to the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission and the Department of Justice in the first quarter of 2026. People referred to federal authorities this year include former New York congressman George Santos and accounts linked to military spouses.
