Scott Greytak argues Congress should close five “corruption gaps” in the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act as it heads toward a U.S. Senate floor vote after clearing the Senate Banking Committee on May 14. In an opinion column, according to CoinDesk, he cites gaps covering DeFi oversight, a “Tornado Cash” loophole, stablecoin controls beyond the GENIUS Act, cross-border jurisdiction, and ethics rules to curb conflicts of interest. He points to Treasury findings that Tornado Cash laundered more than $455 million stolen by the Lazarus Group and U.N. reports of another $147.5 million.
