Blockstream首席执行官Adam Back于6月8日否定BIP-110，称其技术上有缺陷且缺乏技术与生态共识，若通过用户激活软分叉（UASF）强行推动，可能把比特币分裂为少数派分叉链。据 BeInCrypto 报道，BIP-110拟限制比特币交易中的非货币数据、绕过矿工共识；Back认为其与2017年获广泛支持后激活的SegWit不可类比，并称“减少垃圾数据”的核心论点也行不通。Michael Saylor亦将BIP-110称为协议威胁、是比特币最大的自我风险；报道指该提案未来数月进入更窄激活窗口，节点支持仍处个位数低位。
