Hong Kong Monetary Authority Chief Executive Eddie Yue said two stablecoin projects are expected to launch in 2026, with one beginning a pilot program within weeks.

According to ChainCatcher, Yue said Anchorpoint Technology expects to roll out its stablecoin by mid-year and start trial usage a few weeks later. He added that HSBC is expected to launch a stablecoin in the third to fourth quarter of this year.
