Aave founder Stani Kulechov said the protocol has been developing a new risk framework over the past few weeks that could result in some assets being removed from the Aave platform.
According to Foresight News, Kulechov said the framework covers asset risk, bridging risk, and chain-related risk, and includes advanced automation features for risk management.
He said the framework is intended to set a new standard for how Aave evaluates, monitors, and manages risk across the protocol.
Kulechov added that if the proposal is approved, the risk framework will be applied to all markets and assets, and assets that do not meet the new standards will be removed from the platform in the coming weeks.
