Zcash developers agreed to introduce the Ironwood upgrade to address an Orchard pool flaw that could allow unlimited ZEC minting. According to NS3.AI, ZODL is targeting activation for the new shielded pool by the end of July.
After the upgrade, the existing Orchard pool will close to new deposits.
