IC3 researchers warned that autonomous AI agents with access to crypto wallets could pose severe risks if used maliciously or if they escape sandboxed environments.
According to NS3.AI, a June 8 review said existing AI models can already self-replicate in local environments, though the researchers added that models have not yet replicated onto external infrastructure.
The review highlighted the potential danger of combining autonomous agents with direct wallet control, particularly if safeguards fail or the systems are intentionally deployed for harmful purposes.
