Stablecoins may struggle to win institutional payment volume without confidentiality, despite gains in speed, cost and finality. According to BeInCrypto, banks, payment firms, treasuries and payroll teams need private but auditable payment flows that hide counterparties, amounts and timing from public view while preserving compliance access.

Polygon said its wallet now includes a “Privately Send” option that routes transfers through a shielded, non-custodial protocol using zero-knowledge proofs to conceal sender, receiver and amount, with Know Your Transaction screening and audit files for regulators where applicable.
