WeChat’s Open Platform has released a guide for developers to connect mini programs to WeChat’s AI ecosystem, allowing self-authorization through the “Mini Program Admin Backend – AI Capabilities” section. According to PANews, the platform offers two options: an automatic mode and a development mode.
In automatic mode, the platform can read a mini program’s source code during the review process and automatically analyze pages so that WeChat AI can operate the mini program. In development mode, developers build integrations based on their business needs, and after passing evaluation and review, the capabilities can be called by WeChat AI.
Both modes can be enabled at the same time. Whether a mini program connects to the AI ecosystem does not affect its existing services. The overall feature remains in internal testing, and regular users cannot access it for now.
