Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Baghaei said on June 8 that the latest developments have intensified distrust in Iran’s negotiations with the United States. According to Odaily, Baghaei said the United States bears direct responsibility for recent actions that undermined the ceasefire.
He added that Israel’s actions cannot be separated from U.S. policy and said U.S. responsibility for violating the ceasefire agreement is clear. Baghaei also said everything currently happening was planned by the United States and that the United States is responsible for renewed escalation of tensions.
