Delta Air Lines has resumed its nonstop Hong Kong-Los Angeles route after an eight-year hiatus, operating one flight daily. According to Ming Pao, Delta Air Lines Asia-Pacific Vice President Jeff Moomaw said the carrier returned to the Hong Kong market citing the city’s strong economic growth momentum and its performance in cargo and business travel, adding that bookings for the route are very strong and the airline is currently focused on ensuring the Hong Kong service succeeds, with no immediate plans to open other new destinations from Hong Kong.
