David Sacks, a key White House voice on AI and crypto policy, said “AI is the new Climate Change,” likening AI safety fears to “Hollywood storytelling,” days after President Donald Trump signed an AI safety executive order. According to BeInCrypto, the order asks AI companies to voluntarily submit their most powerful models for federal safety testing up to 30 days before public release and directs agencies to develop safety benchmarks, assess cyber capabilities, and bolster critical infrastructure defenses. Sacks also pushed the CLARITY Act and has criticized AI safety advocates as a “Doomer Industrial Complex.”
