Bitwise CEO Hunter Horsley said crypto market participants should take a longer-term view and, unless they are short-term traders, avoid overreacting to weekly or monthly price fluctuations.
According to ChainCatcher, Horsley said investors should instead focus on two areas: the substantive progress of projects and performance over longer time horizons, such as on an annual basis.
He pointed to factors including on-chain usage, technical progress that demonstrates product-market fit, integration by large companies and institutions, real-world building and deployment, and the quality and execution capability of project teams.
Horsley added that while markets do not move in a straight line, he believes the industry’s fundamentals are rising noticeably from 2022 to 2026, and that long-term outcomes will ultimately be determined by fundamentals.
