South Korean police have opened the country’s first illegal gambling investigation into domestic Polymarket users linked to bets on the Jun. 3 local elections. According to NS3.AI, the Gangwon Provincial Police Agency is tracing cryptocurrency transaction records at the request of the National Police Agency.
Authorities said identified users could face fines of up to 10 million won.
