BOE A said rising memory prices could put pressure on terminal device makers and panel manufacturers in some product categories.
According to Jin10, the company made the remarks during an institutional survey while discussing how memory price increases may affect the display industry.
BOE A said that, based on a consulting agency’s expectations, the impact of higher memory prices on consumer electronics could lead to some pressure for both end-device makers and panel makers in certain categories.
By product segment, BOE A said notebook computers and smartphones could see some degree of impact on end demand. It added that the effect on television end demand is likely to be limited after factoring in elements such as growth in TV screen-area demand.
