Bitwise CEO Hunter Horsley said the crypto market has undergone a “generational shift” every few years since 2017, with some early leaders exiting while others continue to influence the sector.
According to Odaily, Horsley wrote on X that these shifts involve custodians, crypto funds, exchanges, and major assets.
He said 2026 will mark the start of a new round of turnover. Horsley added that the community currently feels potential loss, nostalgia, and uncertainty, while also anticipating renewal and new opportunities.
He said a new generation of participants and innovative projects will bring fresh momentum and open a new cycle for crypto assets.
