NEC Corporation and Crypto Garage announced a joint project to develop a cryptocurrency custody system, with a planned service launch in 2027 alongside Japan's revised Financial Instruments and Exchange Act.
According to NS3.AI, development is slated to begin this year.
The companies said the custody system is being built as part of their collaboration, and tied the targeted rollout to the timing of Japan’s updated Financial Instruments and Exchange Act.
