U.S. Dollar Index Declines 0.11% Against Major Currencies

The U.S. Dollar Index, which measures the dollar against six major currencies, fell by 0.11% on June 5, closing at 99.419. According to ChainCatcher, the euro rose to 1.1614 dollars from the previous day's 1.1598 dollars. The British pound increased to 1.3425 dollars from 1.3416 dollars. The dollar weakened against the Japanese yen, trading at 160.02 yen compared to 160.03 yen previously. It also fell against the Swiss franc, exchanging at 0.7892 francs from 0.7924 francs. Conversely, the dollar strengthened slightly against the Canadian dollar, trading at 1.3899 dollars from 1.3895 dollars. Against the Swedish krona, the dollar decreased to 9.3737 krona from 9.4065 krona.
