Blue Origin, the aerospace company owned by Jeff Bezos, remains eligible to bid for lucrative U.S. military space launch projects despite a recent explosion at its launch pad, according to the U.S. Space Force's procurement department. According to Jin10, the explosion occurred during a final ignition test before launch, not during an actual launch process. As the incident did not occur during a certification flight, the U.S. Space Force stated that Blue Origin will not be excluded from the certification process. The company can still compete for contracts in the third phase of the Pentagon's National Security Space Launch program, known as 'Lane 2,' alongside Elon Musk's SpaceX.
