Fitch Ratings has announced an adjustment to its forecast for the average price of Brent crude oil in 2026. According to Odaily, the revision comes as the Strait of Hormuz has remained closed for 14 weeks. Fitch now assumes the strait will not reopen until July, prompting the agency to increase its previous price assumption from $70 per barrel, set in March, to $87 per barrel.
