Bernstein's latest monthly tracking report indicates that DRAM and NAND contract prices continued to rise in May, with comprehensive indicators pointing to a 60% quarter-on-quarter increase by the second quarter of 2026, slightly exceeding previous forecasts by the firm. According to Odaily, the report shows that DRAM contract prices in May rose further compared to April, with weighted average data suggesting a 64% increase in traditional DRAM contract prices from the first to the second quarter of 2026. In the NAND sector, supported by mobile NAND and SSD prices, the mixed average price is expected to rise by approximately 60% in the second quarter of 2026. Bernstein also noted that as the disruptive effects on consumer demand become more apparent, the price increase is expected to slow significantly in the third quarter of 2026. In terms of ratings, Bernstein currently maintains an outperform rating for Samsung Electronics, SK Hynix, Micron, and SanDisk, while Kioxia is rated as underperform.
