Velocore released a vulnerability event analysis report, saying that the protocol encountered security bugs on June 2, resulting in the loss of approximately $6.80 million worth of ETH. The root cause of the vulnerability was a vulnerability in the Balancer-style CPMM pool contract. The main cause of the incident was a logic error in the "velocore__execute () " function of ConstantProductPool, and measures were taken to ensure that the vulnerability could no longer be exploited.
The platform is currently actively investigating and tracking down the hackers, attempting to conduct on-chain negotiations, and requesting the cooperation of various protocols and trading platforms to investigate the activities of the attackers. It also maintains close communication with security partners and foundations.
For affected users, the platform has taken snapshots before the incident. Once operations resume, an appropriate compensation plan will be implemented to address the losses suffered by users.
