Polyhedra responds to Matter Labs: Do not implement monopoly in the name of community and industry development, and hope to withdraw ZK trademark application

On June 1st, Polyhedra Network responded to a series of commitments regarding the ZK trademark issued by Matter Labs on the X platform, for "the establishment of a legal entity without owners for the sole purpose of holding the trademark of'ZK 'and similar key names. This work must be led by a trusted, impartial organization or community member". In other fields, such as AI, everyone can call it AI. However, no individual or company can register AI as a trademark, because no one can truly represent or monopolize AI. If we condone a company to apply for the ZK trademark, it will set a bad precedent for the industry. Thankfully, Matter Labs' application was not approved. Hopefully, this incident will raise awareness in the industry that this behavior must be stopped.
