A third U.S. dairy worker has tested positive for bird flu after coming into contact with infected cows and is the first to develop respiratory problems, U.S. officials said Thursday. The two workers who previously tested positive only developed conjunctivitis or pink eye and recovered. The CDC said the latest cases would not change its assessment that the risk of bird flu to the general public is low. Since March, 67 cows in nine U.S. states have been infected with an ongoing outbreak of bird flu, according to U.S. CDC data.
