On May 30, a spokesperson for Singapore's DBS Bank denied to Decrypt by email that it held 173,700 ETH, saying that DBS Bank did not hold the above assets.
Edward Wilson, analyst at Nansen, said: "Nansen has confirmed through multiple independent sources that DBS has the private keys to this wallet and that these assets are likely to be part of its custody solution." However, the spokesperson declined to comment when asked if the wallet was the one the bank uses to hold funds for its crypto customers.
Today, Nansen said that it has confirmed that a whale holding 173,700 ETH is DBS Bank, which has earned more than 200 million dollars by holding ETH.
