New study: Frequent use of generative artificial intelligence tools such as ChatGPT is low

ChatGPT is now the most widely used generative artificial intelligence tool, according to an online survey published by the Reuters Institute of Journalism, although the overall use rate of generative artificial intelligence tools is still low. Researchers surveyed more than 10,000 people in six countries: the UK, the US, Argentina, Denmark, France and Japan. ChatGPT is by far the most recognized generative artificial intelligence tool - about 50 per cent of internet users in the six countries have heard of it. It is also the most widely used generative artificial intelligence tool in the six countries to date. Despite this, the survey revealed that frequent use of ChatGPT remains low, with only 1% of people in Japan using it daily, 2% in France and the UK, and 7% in the US.
