According to Wednesday's Wintermute Market Update, the number of unpositioned squaring Ethereum futures contracts on the CME has approached an all-time high. Wintermute analysts said the increase in unpositioned squaring contracts indicates the growing interest of institutional investors in trading Ethereum (versus Bitcoin) in anticipation of the imminent launch of an Ethereum spot ETF.
