Jury Convicts Two Suspects in Cryptocurrency-Related $8 million Darknet Drug Scheme

A federal jury in Salt Lake City, USA has convicted Oluwole Adegboruwa and Enrique Isong of multiple drug-related charges. From 2016 to 2019, they created more than $8 million in cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin and Ethereum. Adegboruwa, operating under the names "King Odua" and "Alagbada726", converts cryptocurrencies into traditional currencies.
Sentencing is scheduled for August. The jury also requested the forfeiture of $380,396 in cash from Adegboruwa, a 2017 Dodge Charger, 26 money orders totaling $9,400, and more than $15 million in cryptocurrency.
