Messari released the 2024 Quarter 1 XRP Ledger status, with highlights including a 350% month-over-month increase in payments to 2 million per day. This activity began at the end of the fourth quarter and cooled by the end of Quarter 1. AMM went live at the end of the quarter, while DEX volume on CLOB increased by 41% month-over-month.
Highlights also include, announcing the launch of dollar-pegged stablecoins on XRPL and Ethereum, using the XRPL native feature and the ERC-20 token standard, respectively. New features such as the callback feature help asset issuers maintain compliance. Axelar bridging integration and new stablecoins can serve as liquidity catalysts for tokenizing assets in RWA projects such as the new AMM and the upcoming Zioniqx. rippled 2.0 was released in January. It proposes cross-chain bridging (XLS-38), DIDs (XLS-40) and two other amendments for the community to vote on.
