Former FTX executive Ryan Salame to pay $6 million in taxes and $5 million in restitution

According to the Department of Justice website, U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York Damian Williams announced today that Ryan Salame, CEO of FTX Digital Markets Ltd., a Bahamas subsidiary of FTX, was sentenced to 90 months (7.5 years) in prison. In addition to imprisonment, Ryan Salame was sentenced to three years of supervised release and ordered to pay more than $6 million in forfeited taxes and more than $5 million in restitution.
