Sei posted on the X platform that the first parallel EVM blockchain is now open to builders and early adopters, and Phase 2 (Alpha Launch) is now open. Validators have upgraded their software to bring Sei V2 to the mainnet. Existing applications and tokens will continue to function as before, marking a new design space for developers.
Previously, it was reported that Sei will launch the V2 upgrade in three phases, which will enable the new high-performance parallel EVM. The three phases are governance, alpha release, and V2 readiness.
