JPMorgan Chase does not expect the SEC to approve other cryptocurrency ETFs after the spot Ethereum ETF.
Nikolaos Panigirtzoglou, managing director and global market strategist at JPMorgan Chase, said the investment bank doubts the SEC will approve such funds, given that the SEC considers most cryptocurrencies to be securities. Of course, unless U.S. policymakers eventually pass legislation determining that most cryptocurrencies are not securities, the SEC may approve other cryptocurrency ETFs, Panigirtzoglou said. But he said there is no such legislation yet.
