Brazil's CBDC pilot postponed to 2025 due to inefficient privacy solutions

Brazil's central bank recently said its pilot was delayed until 2025 due to inefficiencies in the privacy solution provided for the CBDC project drex. The new pilot phase will begin in July and end in 2025, when it will allow third parties to implement new features, including smart contracts.
