Polymarket will close the predictive market issue of Ethereum ETF approval by May 31. The resolution follows a dispute that arose after the Securities Exchange Commission approved multiple 19b-4 filings for the spot ETH ETF while the necessary S-1 filings required for the transaction were still not approved. Some users felt that the ETF was not fully approved until both filings were approved. Optimistic Oracle provider UMA Protocol ultimately determined the "yes" result based on the approved 19b-4 filings.
Bloomberg analyst James Seyffart noted that historically, a 19b-4 approval would have led to an S-1 approval. The total bet on the prediction market was $13.20 million.
