TonUP, the TON ecological Launchpad platform, released an announcement about the recent security incident of staking contracts, saying that the incident was caused by the smart contract engineer misconfiguring script parameters, which made users mistakenly claim their locked UP assets. At present, all users' funds are safe, and the function of staking reward collection is temporarily disabled. Rewards will be airdropped after the staking period ends, and users can unstake normally after the staking period ends. In addition, the official has also announced the budget wallet address, saying that if any users want to return UP tokens or express support, they can also transfer to this wallet address. In the future, the team will strengthen the security of contracts and operations, and will also consider open-sourcing certain components to allow more community members to participate in the bug bounty program.
Previously, TonUP reported that its newly launched pledge contract was hacked recently, resulting in 307,264 UP losses. The TonUp team has decided to take full responsibility for this incident and bear all losses. 107,600 USDT has been allocated to repurchase UP tokens on the chain to compensate pledged users. More purchased UP will be destroyed.
