Jian Wen, a Chinese-British woman who had been convicted of one count of money laundering, was sentenced to six years and eight months in prison by Southwark Crown Court in the UK on the same day. London's Southwark Crown Court found Wen guilty of one count of money laundering between October 2017 and January 2022, involving 150 bitcoins. Presiding judge Sally Ann Hales was scheduled to announce the sentencing decision on May 10, but it was postponed to half a month later due to busy business arrangements. In her latest court verdict, she wrote that Wen Jian was involved in a complex and planned crime. Wen Jian said she would appeal the sentence.
