iCapital Announces Deployment of Private Offering Fund Issued by UBS Wealth Management on the Chain

Investment platform iCapital has announced that it will deploy the Private Offering Fund issued by UBS Wealth Management on the blockchain for the first time, and will use distributed ledger technology to handle all activities related to the fund's life cycle, including subscriptions, reporting, and liquidity events. iCapital said the deployment of distributed ledger technology will help eliminate the burden of reconciling more than 100,000 activities during the average lifetime of private capital funds. UBS executives did not respond to a request for comment on the deployment of Private Offering Fund on the chain.
