On May 24th, Christen Ager-Hanssen, the former CEO of nChain, was sentenced to 10 months in prison at a High Court hearing in the United Kingdom on May 3rd for leaking documents exposing Craig Wright. The court found that Ager-Hanssen had violated a number of court orders, including deleting the leaked documents, disclosing the recipients, and surrendering the relevant equipment. The leaked documents, Fairway Brief, concerned Craig Wright's false claims posing as Satoshi, and accused Calvin Ayre and others of orchestrating a "criminal conspiracy" to take over nChain's intellectual property at a low price. The court viewed Ager-Hanssen's non-compliance with the order as an attempt to weaken the authority of the court and nChain's request for confidentiality, so the sentences of 10 months and 4 months were combined. He is expected to be released after five months. Ager-Hanssen plans to appeal, and British whistleblower group Whistleblowers UK supports its appeal, arguing that British whistleblower law is out of touch with justice and fails to effectively protect whistleblowers.
