Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin responded to user comments on Farcaster on the X platform, saying, "I mistakenly thought that requests would be stored in a large blockchain, like a simple version of Filecoin, but in Farcaster, that's not the case. Requests are stored in CRDT; they are meant to achieve final consistency on the message set, but trust the timestamp provided by the sender and achieve better scalability through this approach.".
