Broker Bernstein said in a research note that the U.S. approval of a spot Ethereum ETF would be seen as a significant regulatory relief for the crypto industry and raise expectations that ETH rival SOL would be classified as a commodity.
The analyst added: "Tactically, the approval of the Ethereum ETF will set a precedent for the first non-Bitcoin blockchain asset to be treated as a commodity, raising hopes that its Ethereum peers, possibly Solana, will follow the same path."
