President Joe Biden's re-election campaign is seeking a meme expert in an apparent bid to win over Generation Z voters.
The Biden presidential campaign (BFP) has posted the position of "partner manager," in which the successful candidate will be responsible for launching and managing "the day-to-day operations of engaging internet hot content and meme pages."
According to Indeed, the Biden camp will pay its Wilmington, Delaware-based meme managers between $65,000 and $85,000 a year, which is slightly higher than the average salary for digital marketers in the United States.
According to the job description, Biden meme's main task is to manage relationships with digital media companies, podcasts and "meme pages on multiple social media platforms." Biden's team has previously dabbled in memes, and his campaign adopted "Dark Brandon" laser-eyed memes in early 2022 in an attempt to cast the 81-year-old as internet-savvy.
