Ripple Chief Legal Officer Stuart Alderoty described US SEC Chairperson Gary Gensler as "a struggling liability" as the hype surrounding the possible approval of a spot Ethereum ETF intensified. Responding to discussions about the SEC becoming a hot topic ahead of the election, Alderoty wrote on X: "Gary Gensler overplayed". "He sees cryptocurrencies as an easy target," Alderoty said.
