Van Buren Capital Partner: SEC Will Drop Argument That ETH Is a Security

On May 21, Scott Johnsson, a partner of Van Buren Capital and a well-known American financial lawyer, wrote on the X platform that the Ethereum spot ETF applied by Fidelity has stated that it will not pledge ETH, and the bigger signal is that the trust structure and disclosure of the commodity grantor have not changed. All indications are that the Securities Exchange Commission will abandon the argument that ETH is a security.
