Maxine Waters, D-Calif, and D-Ga, the lead Democrat on their respective committees, sent an email to House Democratic members saying they "strongly oppose" H.R. 4763, the Financial Innovation and Technology for the 21st Century Act (FIT21), but would not spur its members to oppose the bill, saying there would be no vote on the cryptocurrency bill.
